Sunbird Studio, Inc. (“Sunbird,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation, operates the Lore: Interactive Stories mobile application (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to our Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with our practices, do not use the App.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Delaware, United States.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
– Account info: email, phone number, username, authentication credentials
– Profile info: avatar selection, story preferences
– User content: chat messages, story choices, other interactive inputs
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
– Device details: model, OS, unique IDs, network info
– Usage data: features used, time spent, story progress, choices, interaction patterns
– Analytics: performance metrics, crash reports, diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics)
– Location: general region from IP address (no precise GPS)
2.3 Information from Third Parties
– Sign in with Apple: verified email and optional name
– Advertising partners: device ad IDs for attribution (if tracking allowed)
3. How we use your information
– Provide the service: create accounts, save progress, deliver AI responses
– Improve the app: analyze usage, fix bugs, build new features
– Train our AI: use anonymized chat data to improve model quality
– Ensure safety: monitor for Terms violations
– Communicate: send service notices, answer support requests
– Legal compliance: satisfy legal obligations and protect rights
3.1 User content License
By entering content in the App, you grant Sunbird a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, and publicly display that content for service operation, new product development, AI training, moderation, and legal compliance.
Important: we will only publicly share your content in anonymized form that cannot be traced back to you. This license survives account termination.
3.2 AI Training and Service Improvement
Your chats help improve AI quality, develop features, and ensure guideline compliance. Anonymized data may be retained after account deletion.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share only:
4.1 Service Providers
– Firebase / Google Cloud (auth, database, storage, analytics)
– Mixpanel (usage analytics)
– Facebook SDK (ad attribution; no chat content)
– Apple / Google (distribution, payments)
4.2 Legal Requirements
Information may be disclosed to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate violations, or cooperate with law enforcement.
4.3 Business Transfers
If Sunbird undergoes a merger or sale, data may transfer to the successor entity.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Active accounts: data retained as long as needed for service.
Account deletion: personal data removed within 30 days; anonymized data kept for AI training and analytics. Deleted accounts cannot be restored.
6. Your Rights and Choices
– Access & correction: edit info in-app or contact support.
– Data export: request chat history before deleting your account.
– Account deletion: via app settings or support email.
– Opt-outs: analytics (contact us), ad tracking (device settings), push notifications (device settings).
– California residents: no “sale” of personal info; CCPA requests via support@sunbird.studio.
7. Data Security
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, access controls, monitoring, and incident response. No system is 100 % secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is for users 17+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If discovered, such data will be deleted.
9. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed in the US and other countries where providers operate. By using the App, you consent to these transfers.
10. AI-Specific Disclosures
– AI responses are probabilistic, vary per input, have no memory, and are not professional advice or real relationships.
– Do not share sensitive personal info (IDs, finances, medical data, passwords).
– Content monitoring: automated filters and manual review; serious violations (e.g., sexual content with minors) are reported to authorities.

11. Changes To This Policy
Material updates will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use signifies acceptance.
12. Dispute Resolution
Disputes are handled by binding arbitration as described in our Terms. Class action waivers apply.
